There is the great movie called the Bucket List. Two men, deemed to be terminally ill, make a list of all the things they want to do before they die. I thought it was a going to be a horribly sad movie, but it was simply the best! The humor was wonderful, the acting so good…the story even better. We should all have a Bucket List and we shouldn’t wait until we are ready to die, but while we are sill able to move without walkers and breathe without a machine.
I have had list for years. I have gotten several off my list. I always wanted to see Colorado and the Rocky Mountains. I still want to see Paris, but hey, I got time. Next was to kayak. I have a fear of water and not really crazy about boats and waves, but I love to row. As a kid, I would get in a row boat and go all day. I loved it. It is quiet and I find it so peaceful.
With help from two good friends, Darrell and Jan Yount, I wiped that one off my list! Friday, Jan called my bluff and invited me to face my water demons and go kayaking. She enticed me with a BBQ afterwards at their house. How could I turn it down?
Mike stayed on shore. Earlier in the day, he got a joke sent from an old co worker. It started out…”John answered the door and there was the police. There was a kayaking accident with your wife…” No kidding, timing is everything.
Here is the proof that I did get in, I did row about Freshwater bay and I did survive. I am ready to go again. It was wonderful.

My next thing to cross off is to go to Tennessee and do a weaving demo on tartans.

Hey those captions shows you have got it down! It looks like you had fun. Did you see a few kayakers out in freshwater bay when you were there? A few of our friends spent the week end down that way.
